GEEREF committed EUR 12.5M in the Renewable Energy Asia Fund (REAF. Berkely Partners LLC is the manager of REAF.

REAF targets Asia (primarily India) where there are tremendous opportunities for renewable energy investment. REAF invests into renewable energy projects in their development stage, transforms these investments into operating portfolios and generates superior returns through successful exits. The Fund specifically focuses on operationally and economically mature technologies which are best placed to help Asia bridge its current electricity supply/demand gap (primarily with wind, small hydro and solar energy).

GEEREF commits EUR 12.5M in the Cleant Tech Latin American Fund (CTLAF II). CleanTech Latin America GP LLC, is the manager of CTLAF II

CTLAF II is a capital fund investing in private companies was established as the continued success of Cleantech Fund (I) which is now fully invested. The main geographic focus is Mexico, Brazil, Chile, Peru and Colombia, however CTLAF timely invest in other markets in the region. The fund seeks investment opportunities in the areas of renewable energy and clean technologies.

GEEREF committed EUR 10M in a new Fund called DI Frontier Market Energy and Carbon Fund (“DI”). Frontier Investment Management is the manager of DI.

DI is an investment fund with a unique focus on renewable energy and carbon credit generating assets in less developed emerging markets in Sub-Saharan Africa

The Fund is characterized by a novel investment strategy and approach which sets it apart from the way most funds work. The main distinguishing feature is an integrated approach to project development, investment, and carbon trade. The Fund has a focus on Eastern and Southern Africa. Core focus countries include: Kenya, Mozambique, Tanzania, Uganda and Zambia.
